The Australian Prawn Farmers Association in collaboration with CQUniversity and the Queensland State Government has developed the Prawn Farmers Digital Skills Hub to provide the Australian prawn farming industry with access to education and training in the digital skills required to accelerate the adoption of current and emerging technologies.
The Prawn Farmers Digital Skills Hub introduces ‘My Pond’ videos to share how members of the Australian Prawn Farmers Association (APFA) are using water quality technology, digitalising data collection, and making the most of digital aquaculture. The Hub also includes overview information, additional resources, and video demonstrations, and provides links to further resources.
This project was funded by the Queensland State Government Agribusiness Digital Solutions Grant Program. It will create a resilient and profitable prawn farming workforce by escalating the adoption of digital technologies across the sector.
Training materials produced from this project will help transform the industry into a digitally enabled supply chain, provide digital skills to the current workforce and position the industry at the frontline of digital adoption.
